Today I turned 40. Pay my appearance no mind. I developed a large abscess in my mouth/on my face yesterday that landed me in the hospital. Turn 40 they said. It’ll be fun they said. Yeah well they fuckin lied. Is this what I can expect from being 40? New ailments and shit? I’m annoyed already smh. Anyway, God blessed me to make it and that’s good enough for Duff. 4th of July is so confusing and bittersweet for me. It feels as if the entire world is celebrating with BBQ’s, parties, fireworks, friends and family—but Duff is normally alone, in my own world listening to somber music. The 4th is my Pops birthday and he used to sit me atop his shoulders because I was so small that I couldn’t see the fireworks over the tall Casino buildings. Every 4th of July as a kid I sat on his shoulders, and since the day he passed away, I feel as tho I have the weight of the world on mine. HBD Pops. Miss you OG♥️👑
